The psychologist/ vocational counsellor will report directly to the Area coordinator and will closely work with the implementation project team & UCR program. The psychologist/ vocational counsellor will work closely with the Area coordinator in all project implementation processes to ensure high implementation quality of the UNHCR Project in Bucharest area. The main role of will be to: asses the competences, needs, intentions and goals of the selected target group, apply the competency assessments to evaluate occupational attitudes and key job skills,  provide support to project beneficiaries for the completion of the life/job/career plan , provide individual and group career coaching and psychological counselling to the target selected group of beneficiaries; provide vocational counselling according to the identified needs of the beneficiaries. The psychologist/vocational counsellor will provide individual occupational counselling for beneficiaries to increase their self-esteem and job readiness and facilitate progress towards the goals stated in their personal life/job/career plan journal and ensure they update/modify their profile on the Jobs4Ukraine platform with progress beyond the minimum amount of data necessary to apply for employment. 

Required Professional Experience           

  • General professional experience: minimum 2 years
  • Specific experience in psychological or social/ vocational/ career services – minimum 2 years
  • Problem-solving attitude/Team cooperation/Proactivity
  • Attention and responsibility in the execution of tasks
  • Excellent organization, planning, motivation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong work ethic and detail-oriented with excellent multitasking skills
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Ability to work with sensitive or confidential information
  • Communicates with integrity to different stakeholders (strong interpersonal skills)
  • Interact effectively with others, communicate clearly, and understand of the needs and requirements of all stakeholders/Ability to work in an intercultural team

Direct responsibility for quality execution a assigned duties, the application of the World Vision Romania Foundation’s policies in working with vulnerable persons.
